5th press notice (17/06/2003) 2nd day of resistance in Itoitz

As we said at yesterday´s last press release, we call for a massive support of the people resisting chained up to the tubes of the houses and also of those ones who are inside the armoured room
and to come to Itoitz for all the demonstration.
More than 19 people were arrested in yesterdays action and they are allready free after testify before the
Judge, during last evening and this morning. As regards four people arrested by spanish Civil Guard in yesterdays demonstration in Itoitz, they are supposed to be still at Civil Guards´ department in Iruñea

There is the fact that one of the people under arrest by Civil Guard is a teacher of the state school of Agoitz, and to show their solidarity and refusing the arrests the teaching staff call to a demonstration this morning at 1.00 p.m. in front of the Court of Agoitz. The Civil Guard came in and threaten to charge against the demonstrators because they didn´t allow to meet groups of more than 20 people. After that ,
a hundred people met in front of the Townhall to protest against the eviction and the arrested people.

On the other hand, people was called to take part in a demonstration in Agoitz this midday, but they decided to go up to Itoitz to support directly people still resist over there, therefore they met at crossroad
of Nagore.

7 de la tarde asamblea popular.

· At 19:00 p.m. popular meeting.
· At 20:00 p.m. 8 demonstration through the streets of Agoitz.

The general guideline for next days is that mornings will be a direct support to the activists and evenings will be a popular mobilization.

There was about 12.30 p.m., when a person climbed up to the roof of one of the houses carrying a yellow cloth which provokes a great commotion among several police forces posted over there, therefore when they went up to arrest him he was dissapeared.
