Methodology

Pret-A-Revolter designs are thought up, constructed and distributed within antagonistic social networks. Our basic functional unit is that of the Ôcivil disobedience workshops.
These workshops are where tactics and techniques are developed in response to available materials and equipment.
They area just as much about the creation of affinity groups as they are about the creation of material culture.
The design work is marked by the constant participation of the user who must implicate him/herself in the production and completion of the equipment.
Thus, the process is not only that of producing tools but also those of producing ÔPret-A-RevolterÕ design groups.
